UNLV student given Eagle Court of Honor
Ben Johnson, an 18-year-old student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, was inducted at an Eagle Court of Honor in December.
Johnson’s parents Richard and Lolita and brothers Bradley and D’Artagnan live in Gardnerville.
The Eagle Scout graduated from Carson High School. His Eagle project was the repair of a U.S. Forest Service trail south of the Topaz area.
He organized a work party of six Scouts and an adult leader early last summer. The group camped overnight and worked on the trail for two days.
The Court of Honor was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minden. Many church members and friends of the scout were in attendance along with Nevada Secretary of State Dean Heller.
