Tread lightly

The BLM has just closed another large area of public land in California. I know a lot of you will say “Who cares? That’s California’s problem.” In fact, it’s very much our problem.

The federal government controls nearly 94,000 square miles of the state of Nevada. That’s almost 86 percent of our land. If they can do it to California, they can do it to us.

If the enviro-groups and the BLM have their way with us there will be no more hunting … no more fishing … no more off road usage … no more nothing.

We have already seen what the feds are capable of in last summer’s go-around over Jarbidge. We must work together if we are to survive this massive onslaught against our freedom of passage in our own lands.

The state of Nevada has taken the first step in filing suit against the BLM over the new mining rules.

Whether you are a hunter, fisherman, miner, rancher or just a plain old four-wheeler like me, I urge you to contact your elected representatives and voice your displeasure of these closures.

I have provided a link to the final court decision. This is a 19 page PDF copy.

Thank you all for your attention and remember to “tread lightly,” for it’s our land that’s being taken away.
