Letter to the EDITOR:

The Carson Valley Historical Society Fund-Raising Committee thanks everybody who assisted in making our “Art & Wine Festival” a joyful evening.

The artists, who brought their art for us to enjoy.

The Kiwanis Club, Nevada Cattlewomen’s Association, Rebekah’s, Boy Scout Troop 341, Sierra Lutheran High School, Carson City Natives and Newcomers Club and the Sierra Baptist Association, for the great food!

The Back Forty Band who played and sang great bluegrass music throughout the affair.

The businesses who donated wine for our “Instant Wine Cellar”: Bouquet & Bouquet, Dart Liquor, Genoa Country Store, Historian Inn, Park Place AM PM, Raley’s Supermarket, Rite Aid, Smith’s Food and Drug Center, The Daly Scoop, Ultra Mart Discount Liquor and the wineries that participated.

Wine charms were given courtesy of Avalon Wine Glass Sensations.

A special thanks to Tony King of Southern Wine & Spirits and Terri Jones of PJ’s Liquor for all their advice on putting the affair together and their knowledge of wines.

Carson Valley Middle School and Kelly Tires for the use of their parking lots.

A & A Construction for their “Night Lighting Equipment” and, of course, all the great volunteers of the Carson Valley Historical Society.

Our wonderful community for their support and attendance at the affair.

Our area news media for their continued support of the events of the Carson Valley Historical Society.

Congratulations to Jan Marson from Sierra Lutheran High School on winning the “Instant Wine Cellar.” Enjoy!
