Food closet volunteer
The people of this community are so amazing. As the new year begins our community continues to support the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
Food donations received in January (in pounds) – Two Guys from Italy (98), Target (275), Douglas High School Music Department (135), Verizon (57), Douglas County Library (216), ASPIRE Douglas High School (93), Carson Valley United Methodist Church (190), Nabisco (45), Walgreen’s (25), The Record-Courier (70), Pepsi (45), and Christ Presbyterian Church (32). As always we so thank those who prefer to remain anonymous as well as Raley’s Market, Smith’s Market, Scolari’s Market, Russell’s Mercantile, St. Gall Catholic Church, 7-Eleven (the Ranchos and Highway 395), Walmart, and Costco.

If you have foods to donate, please call Kathy at 782-3711 to arrange a time or just stop by the Carson Valley Community Food Closet at 1255 Waterloo, Gardnerville while we’re open from noon – 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wedsday and Friday to drop off your donation.
