The board of the Sustainable Living and Renewable Energy Roundup would like to thank all the supporters who helped make the Green Living Festival happen on Sept. 21.

A huge thanks to NV Energy for their grant, all the cool toys they brought to the event, and their presentation. Another huge thanks to Duane Petite and the Nature Conservancy for letting us hold the event at the beautiful River Fork Ranch and being so supportive and helpful all along the way. And we’re so grateful to our other sponsors: Jenn Hollister at Sierra Creek Graphics, Douglas Disposal, Carson Valley Inn, Whole Foods and Raley’s who helped with goods or services.

Thanks to the presenters who carved a few hours out of their Saturday to come share their knowledge and experience with us, and the exhibitors who came prepared to spend the whole day out there until the wind and rain drove them away. And of course, our hardy volunteers who helped with the Discovery Center, parking and photography. We got a lot of mittens sewn, smoothies blended, and paper made before the storm and collected 38 pounds of wine corks to recycle.

To those who visited, it was great to see you out there. We hope you had fun and got something useful out of your visit. We’ll hope to see you next year under sunnier skies.
