Sexual trauma counseling

The Family Support Council of Douglas County is forming a free and confidential support group for victims of sexual trauma. Individual therapy is also provided free at the Family Support Council.

Group sessions are facilitated by licensed marriage and family therapist Donna Buddington. Contact Buddington at the Family Support Council for a free and confidential interview at 782-8692 or DBuddington@family-support.org

Domestic violence support

The Women’s Support Group for those who have experienced, or are experiencing, domestic violence or abuse is 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Family Support Council, 1255 Waterloo Lane, Suite A, Gardnerville.

The free group session is facilitated by Donna Buddington. Free child care is provided for group attendees by trained staff. No appointment necessary.

The Family Support Council has served Douglas County families for 29 years. If you or someone you know needs help, call the anonymous and confidential hotline at 782-8692 anytime.

All services for victims and family members are free. Bilingual services also available.
