Sierra Lutheran High School hosts open house

by E.D. Thyr, Special to the R-C

Sierra Lutheran High School hosts an open house Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The community is invited to tour the facility which opens its doors to ninth and 10th graders Aug. 22.

SLHS is located in its temporary quarters leased from the Bentley Corporation across from the sheriff’s office on Buckeye Street in Minden. Many modifications have been made to the facility’s interior.

Tours will be led by members of the steering committee and staff members will be in their rooms to answer questions about their specific responsibilities in the school program. After the tours, refreshments will be served.

There is still time to enroll children, though it is limited and time is running short.

Those coming from the north drive south on Highway 395 to the first signal past the Carson Valley Inn and turn left. Special signs will give you directions.

Go east until you pass the last building on the right, and enter the parking lot on the right surrounded by the chain link fence. For more information, call the school at 782-0060.
