An action brought in the Justice Court in Genoa by M. Harris against Peter Millich and E. Sullivan for possession of the Sheridan hotel and saloon property. The case was set for trial, July 16.

Paul and Mike Rube, charged with the killing of Billie Rube at Coleville on June 19th, were held to answer to the Superior Court, on a charge of murder, by Justice of the Peace Berreyesa Friday, after a preliminary examination.

The boy scout camp at Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe opened Wednesday under the supervision of Scout Master Russell. The camp will remain open for three weeks, according to present plans and at present several scout troops of Reno are enjoying a vacation at the camp.

Combined tax rates of Minden and Gardnerville will bring the two towns a total of $25,766 in revenue during the 1962-63 tax year. Gardnerville’s tax rate for the 1962-63 year is listed as $1.05 while that of Minden is an even dollar. The rates are the same as those for the 1961-62 fiscal year.

The Douglas County Recreation Department will offer a bicycle tune-up and maintenance class today, 7-9 p.m., at the Decision Bicycle in Gardnerville. Topics include truing wheels, adjusting derailleurs, brakes and check-up procedures. Instructor is Joel Stein of Decision Bicycle. A $15 fee should be paid at the Recreation Department before class begins; participants should bring their bikes.

Carson Valley bus passengers could be able to ride into Stateline, Nev., by the end of 2002. State and county officials are working on a plan that would take Douglas Area Rural Transit buses either to the base of Kingsbury Grade or into Stateline.
