Obituary: Robert T. "Bob" Davis

World War II Navy vet; installer for Western Electric

A funeral for Robert T. “Bob” Davis, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 33 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Davis died Dec. 19, 2003, in Reno. He was born June 24, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, to Thomas and Gwendolain Burton Davis.

He graduated from high school in Glendale, Calif.

He married Emma Jones in February 1946, in Pasadena, Calif. Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Altadena, Calif.

Mr. Davis was an installer for Western Electric (now Lucent Technology) and retired in 1976 after more than 30 years of service.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Among his survivors are his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Concetta Franklin and son, Clifford Allen Davis, all of Carson City; sister, Nellus Christy of St. George, Utah; and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
