Obituary: Robert Boucher

Decorated World War II Army veteran

A memorial service for Robert “Bob” Boucher, 80, of Fallon, who died Nov. 27, 2002 at Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Mr. Boucher was born Dec. 5, 1921 in Gentry, Ark., to Mederick Boucher and Bertha Early Boucher.

He served for more than nine years in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II. He also served in the Korean War.

Mr. Boucher was retired from the restaurant business and had lived between Lovelock, Fallon and Carson City since 1969. He had many friends in the Carson Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Judy Boucher.

Surviving are stepson and wife James and Alicia Gifford of Reno, son and daughter-in-law Bill and Lisa Boucher of Fallon, son and daughter-in-law Phil and Leslie Boucher of Pioche, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Kenneth Adams of Pioche, daughter and son-in-law Julie and Donald West of Caliente and daughter and son-in-law Roberta and David Cowles of Wardner, Idaho.; brothers Mederick of Paris, Calif., Albert of Redmond, Ore., Donald of Medford, Ore. and Jerry of Yuma, Ariz.; grandchildren Leah, Michelle, Nathan, Kenna, Jordan, Angenyn, Phillip, Cheyenne, Jeremy, Alyson, David and Jason; and great-grandchildren Baylee, Canada, David and Jessie.

A reception at the JT Basque Bar & Dining Room in Gardnerville will follow Saturday’s memorial service.

The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon is in charge of arrangements.
