Obituary: Alfred M. Goddard

U.S. Army veteran; Wellington resident for 30 years

Alfred Maurice Goddard, 90, died Dec. 14, 2003, at home in Wellington, Nev.

He was born Aug. 17, 1913, to Alfred McClosky and Margaret Novak in New Brunswick, N.J. He graduated high school in California.

Alfred served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned and operated Commercial Stationery & Printing in Los Angeles for more than 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Topaz Ranch Estates.

Surviving are his daughter Sandra McDonald of Westcliffe, Colo.; brother Edward Goddard of Wellington; two grandsons Brian McDonald of Wellington and James McKew of Minden; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Topaz Ranch Estates. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Topaz Ranch Estates, 1441 Agate Rd., Wellington, NV 89444.
