Lula ‘Pat’ Copier

1926-2006

A funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fountainhead Foursquare Church for Lula “Pat” Copier, 79, who died Feb. 16 at her home in Gardnerville.

Mrs. Copier was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Covina, Calif., to Ennis and Mallie Haggard Bennett. She was a graduate of Ventura High School and attended Ventura Junior College. She was a resident of Granada Hills, Calif., and married Balder Copier, Feb. 6, 1982, in Burbank, Calif. She moved to Gardnerville in 1993. She was co-owner of PIP Printing. She was a member of Fountainhead Foursquare Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son, William “Ted” Sommer, Sr. of Longview, Wash.; her brother Don and his wife Joyce Bennett of Truckee, Calif.; nephew Scott and his wife Tatjana Bennett; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of Walton’s Douglas County Mortuary. Cremation will take place at Walton’s Funeral Home with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, Calif. Memorial donations can be made to Fountainhead Foursquare Church

Eric Thompson

1987-2006

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley for Eric Thompson, 18, who died Feb. 16, 2006, resulting from an automobile accident in Carson City.

Mr. Thompson was born Nov. 6, 1987, in Reno to Bill and Kathy Thompson. He was attending Western Nevada Community College. He owned his own business, ET’s Mobile Wash and Detail. He loved the outdoors and all outdoor sports including hunting, fishing, snow boarding and wake boarding. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Kathy Thompson of Carson City; his sister Kirsten Thompson of Carson City; Grandma Dorothy and Grandma Stewart and his golden retriever “Buddy.”

Arrangements are in the care of Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. There will be a visitation 4-7 p.m. Friday at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
