Catherine Theresa Clark
A funeral service for Catherine Theresa Clark, 96, of Genoa, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis, N.Y., with the Rev. August A. Ricciardi officiating.
A prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark died Dec. 22, 2005, at Carson Valley Residential Care in Gardnerville. She was born May 6, 1909, in Ireland to James and Margaret Keeney.
Before coming to Genoa she lived in Matamoras, Penn.
She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society and Matamoras Senior Citizens. She was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church, the Douglas County Senior Citizens Center and the 90-Plus Club of Douglas County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Clark, on Nov. 29, 1977; son John J. Clark; brother Charles Keeney; sister Anna Meehan, and foster children Matthew Grant and Dolores Pickett.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Theresa and Robert Anderson of Genoa, Margaret and Ray Kennedy of Pleasantville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis, N.Y.
Gray-Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A graveside service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Genoa Cemetery for Pauline Baird, 95, who died Dec. 26, 2005, in Reno.
Mrs. Baird, a resident of Gardnerville for 33 years, was born in Belfield N. D. She married Paul Baird in Sonoma, Calif. and was a homemaker on their ranch.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Baird and her daughter JoAnne Fricke. She is survived by her son-in-law, Gordon Fricke, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Full Gospel Fellowship, 921 Mitch Dr., Gardnerville for Margie Johnson, 68, who died Dec. 23, 2005.
Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Pomona, Calif., to Fred and Regina Rhodes. She was a resident of Torrance, Calif., before moving to Gardnerville, 11 years ago. She was a graduate of San Bernardino High School. She married Jim Johnson, Aug. 24, 1957, in Las Vegas. She was a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Johnson of Gardnerville; daughters Diane DelPrado of Huntington Beach, Calif., Leslie LeVan of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Kimberly Berry of Simpsonville, S.C. and son Gary Johnson of Gardnerville. She is also survived by her sister Betty Kille; brothers Eddie Rhodes and Dusty Rhodes; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are in the care of Walton’s Douglas County Funeral Home.
