Thanks for the help
The Division of Child and Family Services would like to recognize the various individuals, organizations and businesses that contributed to our 2017 Foster Parent Appreciation Event held at Fuji Park. Due to the generous support and time given by those listed below, our local foster parent heroes who care for children affected by abuse and neglect, were shown just how much their community appreciates them. The time, talents and treasures of many were utilized to make this event a success.
A sincere debt of gratitude is owed to the following: Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club No. 85, Magic Carpet Golf, American AVK Company, Paradise Cove Fun Center, Reno Aces, Amy Randall of Velvet Touch Salon, Carson Tahoe Health, It’s a Girl Thang Consignment Shop, Capitol Automotive, Discovery Museum, Carson City CASA, Leah’s Perfect Rose, Red’s Old 395 Restaurant, Baskin Robbins of Patterson, Calif., Carson City Dodge, Port of Subs, Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant, Play it Again Sports, Westside Pourhouse, Fly High Trampoline Park, Jump Man Jump, Cindi Miller at Platinum Plus Salon & Spa and Laura Main of Storytime Photography.
There were many others who volunteered their valuable time for this project but were not named above. To every individual that participated to make this event successful, much is owed. If you would like to become part of an amazing group of people that foster, please contact me at 775-684-1967.

Green slime from the top
The green slime that has been oozing from the Trump administration for over 200 days creating an indelible stain on the Grand Old Party now threatens to seep into the very fabric of our Democracy. This fetid soup of bigotry, hate, lies and vulgarity has brought the worst of the worst out of the shadows and given them the confidence to openly commit any outrage that suits them at the moment. We must excise this cancer from our society now or forever pay the price. Again I ask, “are there no members of the those currently in power willing to put the welfare of their country, indeed, the whole world, above that of their party?”
