Letter: Am I the only one?
One of our areas of pride and joy is the library, but in fixing leaky roofs and adding more office space, study and computer rooms and upgrading the meeting room, the magazine and newspaper room got pushed into the tiny, old Nevada Room, a four-chair, crowded area with high, small windows.
I would always brag to my librarian friends, “Come to Minden and see our beautiful library,” actually meaning the magazine room with its huge windows with the gorgeous mountain view and the spacious room with 15 or so chairs and lots of room to browse and a place where one could fully open a newspaper.
Actually, there are several rooms that are bigger that magazines and newspapers could share. Please write your librarian if you also miss the spacious room.
