letter to the EDITOR:

I’m compelled to comment on Judge Gamble’s democracy-suppressing decision regarding growth in the Carson Valley.

Whenever I think of the verdant Carson Valley and the tragedy that’s coming for it, I’m reminded of the Jethro Tull song, “Farm on the Freeway:”

“They’re busy building airports on the south side…

Silicon chip factory on the east.

And the big road’s pushing through along the valley floor.

Hot machines pouring six lanes at the very least.”

Sounds a lot like your little valley.
