Jesus reason to celebrate a joyous Christ’s Mass
We have all heard several times that Christmas is all about Jesus. “Jesus is the reason for the season.”
Christ’s Mass is a day for commemorating or celebrating the birth of the Christ or the Savior.
Well, that is very true, as a matter of fact, everything is about Jesus.
Colossians 1:15-17: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones of dominions or principalities or power.
All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
If everything was created by Him and for Him then we are part of that creation, and we were created for His pleasure.
He even calls us the apple of His eye.
If these things are true then Christmas is about something else as well.
It’s about you and it’s about me. If we were created to bring pleasure to the Lord then His desire if for us to spend eternity with Him.
The Bible tells us that Jesus came to save sinners, and that’s us, all of us.
Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
So how did the birth of a baby provide salvation for mankind? He humbled himself and became part of mankind.
He put himself in the hands of His creation. Think about this for awhile.
He lived a perfect and sinless life so He could become the perfect and complete sacrifice for our sins.
His sacrifice once and for all destroyed the power of sin and released us from the penalty of death.
He came to destroy the works of the devil.
I John 3: For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus stood in our place and took our punishment thereby securing salvation to all those who receive Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
This wonderful gift is available to all who will call upon His name.
In conclusion, it is all about Jesus and it is all about you.
Will you give you life to Him because He gave His life for You?
