Great Christmas dinner
The 12th Annual Noel Christmas Day Dinner for those without family was a huge success with 132 guests attending.
This yearly event could not happen without the help, sacrifice and assistance of many people. Special recognition goes to the Chef, Jeanne Whited, of Wild Bean Catering; the Culinary students of Douglas High School who helped prepare the meal, Trent Dowell of TD Deals Photography who took pictures and gave them to the guests; Corey, Randy & Stephen Dowell for playing music and singing, and Santa, Kirk Wilson, who took time to make many people happy.
I would like to thank the following for their donations of money, food and/or help: Frank Bachman, Ray Bechtel & Zeta Barnard, Ginger Blythe, Don Boos, Nancy Bradshaw & Karin Fallia, Geoff & Pat Brunner, A. Butler, Dana & Reena Coletti, Rose Cordelia, Tim & Sharol Damberger, Brad Danner, Roselyn Didier, Ginger Firestone, Kris & Carol Harnett, Emile Hassert, Marina Hedwall, Cathy Hopkins, Russell & Cecile Howen, Gerry Hutchinson, Rick & Lil Kellenberger, Jeanne & Bryan Lamb, Bill & Joan McKenzie, Don & Gayle Morse, Jerry & Esther Mead, Eddie & Paul Montanucci, Mike & Teresa Mullins, Richard Perri, Alicia Powers, Fritz Rubins, Dean & Louise Sharp, Bryant & Janis Shurtliff, Sherri Smith, Jackie Steiner, Jack Stemplinger, Kathleen Stidham, Mike, Marolyn, Pat, & Curtis Vadnais, Bob & Betty Thompson, Katy Weber, Father Paul McCollum, Father Nathan Mamo, Our Lady of Guadalupe Committee, the Women’s Society, and the Knights of Columbus with special gratitude to Costco, The Record-Courier and Nevada Appeal.
