Build gingerbread houses using graham crackers and other sweets, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 21, at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden.
Dennis Little shows children and parents how to create edible crafts to take home. Program is limited to 30 children per session. Register by Nov. 18 to attend either program.
Bring a donation for the program from a list of supplies. Supplies must be delivered to the library by 7 p.m. Nov. 18.

Gingerbread house contest
Carson Valley Arts Council’s fifth annual gingerbread house decorating contest opens during the museum’s Gallery of Trees and Cookie Walk on Dec. 5.
The contest is free to enter and is open to Carson Valley residents and community groups.
