Down on Main Street
The Valley Cruisers’ 15th annual Main Street Event opened Friday evening in downtown Minden.
The streets were filled with folks enjoying the perfect summer night, rows of of classic cars and trucks, music and food. Some downtown business stayed open to accomodate those interested in shopping and 686 people were served a tri-tip dinner, hosted by the Cruisers at CVIC Hall.
“That’s about 100 more than last year,” said club member John Amundson. He also said the club served 426 folks Saturday morning, as the show continued in Lampe Park in Gardnerville.
The event was near capacity this year, as Lampe only holds 250 cars. A poker run was held and winners were announced Sunday. They include:
