Conforte is topic of December lecture
The Douglas County Historical Society lecture series continues 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.
David Toll, a prize winning Nevada journalist, will speak about his new book on Joe Conforte, who started the Mustang Ranch. Seating is limited so come early.
Prior to the lecture, the museum will host a special open house at 6 p.m. to allow attendees time to tour the gallery of trees and gingerbread houses.
The bookstore will also be offering special discounts throughout the evening.
