This new contemporary Christian church is meeting in the Coleville High School gym. A Christmas play will be presented on Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. with dessert served following the production.

Antelope Valley Community United Methodist Church

Sunday school for adults and children is held every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Sunday worship and Children’s Church starts at 11 a.m. Reverend Jeffrey Quinn leads the worship service. For more information call (760) 932-1630. At 8 p.m. on Saturday, Christmas Eve, a festive service will be held.

Walker Baptist Church

Pastor Lee Pritchett invites you to attend Sunday School at 9 a.m. and the Sunday morning worship which begins at 10:15 a.m. Bible Study continues to be held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. For more information call (530) 495-2479 or visit the Web site http://www.walkerbaptistchurch.com. A special candle light service will be held on Christmas Eve, Saturday at 6 p.m. Following the Christmas Eve program a birthday cake for Jesus and finger foods will be enjoyed.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

A special Christmas sacrament will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25.

Our Lady Of the Valley Catholic Chapel

The organization held a potluck on Dec.13 to discuss plans for a Catholic Church to be built in Antelope Valley. The nonprofit group already has the property and is in the planning stages for construction. The Chapel group is accepting donations of labor and cash for the construction of the building. Smith Valley Mass is celebrated on Saturday evenings at 4:30 p.m. and also at the Infant of Prague in Bridgeport on Sundays at noon. A special Christmas Eve mass will be held at the Walker Community Building on Saturday at 4 p.m. with Father Dauchauer officiating.

CARE Connection

CARE Connection is a free national teleconference for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses. Each week, the teleconference offers caregivers support, inspiration and connection to other caregivers and professionals. A special guest speaker addresses interesting topics each month. Caregivers can join up to 150 people who are on the line to learn, listen and participate. Participation is voluntary and anyone can participate according to their own comfort level.
