William Dangberg (Bill) Williams

William Dangberg (Bill) Williams, loving husband and father passed from this life on May 5, 2015, in Great Falls, Montana. He was 90. He was born to Roy T, and Clara W. Williams in Minden, Nevada, on July 15, 1924. He attended grade school in Minden and graduated from Douglas County High School in 1942. He enrolled at the Universityof Nevada in Reno, but interrupted his studies there in 1943 to enter the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served through the end of WWII and was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in 1946 and returned to Reno to resume his studies there earning a degree in Mining in 1949. He then joined the Anaconda Copper Company in Butte, Montana. On June 18, 1950, he married Ida Bess (Sandy) Sanderson in Elko, Nevada. Over the years he held a number of management positions with Anaconda before retiring in Denver, Colorado, in 1989. Throughout his working and retirement life, he demonstrated his concern for people involved in church, civic groups and volunteer organizations. Bill loved the outdoors; was an avid reader; traits he generously shared and nurtured with his children and grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife, Sandy; brother, James (Margaret) of Henderson, NV; children, Bill (Anita) of Gold Canyon, AZ; Michael (Kayrn) of Vadnais Heights, MN; and Lisa Keville (Peter) of Great Falls, MT; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
