Wesley Hewitt Taylor

Wesley Hewitt Taylor 93, passed away March 11, 2016 in Sparks Nevada of natural causes. He was born May 22, 1922 to Chester and Giola Taylor in Chaney, OK. He graduated High School in 1941 in Victorville, Ca. Wesley served in the 8th Air Force during World War II where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air medal. After serving in the Air Force for over 23 years Wesley worked for GTE “Continental Telephone Company” as an Outside Plant Superintendent. He was married to Anita Ann Taylor August 25, 1962. Wesley enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a lifelong member of the NRA and was involved in the Elk’s and United States Air Force Association. Wesley was preceded in death by his father and mother Chester and Giola Taylor, wife Anita A. Taylor and Sisters Verdinea O’Rorke and Peggy Marquez. He is survived by his sister Veronica Cook of Victorville, CA son and daughter in law Wm “Butch” (Chari) Van Leuven of Sparks, NV Grandchildren Jessey and Jordon Van Leuven of Sparks, NV Niece Cindy O’Rorke of Susanville, CA and Nephew Pat O’Rorke of Barstow, CA Viewing and military honors will be held March 23, 2016 at 230 at the Ferris Recreation Park “Bently Science Park” 1751 Orbit Way, Minden, NV. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after at the JT Restaurant 1426 US HWY 395, Gardnerville, NV.
