Vera Mae Prahl

Nov 04, 1927 – Sept. 26, 2016

Vera Mae Prahl, 88, born November 4,1927 to the late Henry & Winifred (Olson) Pokallus, entered Eternal Life, Monday, September 26, 2016, at home in Dayton, NV, surrounded by her family. Vera lived in Wisconsin, California & eventually settled in Topaz, NV with her late husband, Lawrence Prahl, who preceded her in death on September 16,2003. The most important thing to Vera was her family. She enjoyed cooking large meals for holidays & Sunday dinners, as well as always baking something sweet made with love, carrying on the tradition her “Grandma Olson” had for her grandchildren. She had a loving & caring soul who gave so much of herself to others.

She was the sassiest, strongest, brutally honest, hard working, family & slot loving woman, but will forever be remembered for the unconditional love for her family & friends. Until her last breath, her family & the love she had for them remained most important to her. Vera left her mark in one way or another on all who knew her. She’s left a beautiful legacy & her Spirit’s carried on by her surviving children; Daughters, Paulette Milzark & husband John of Hazelwood, MO; Darlene Landberg & husband Mel of Lake Havasu, AZ; Penny Mendoza & husband Hilario of La Mirada, CA; Patti Smith & husband Dave of Dayton, NV; Belinda Alexander of Washington; a Son, Gary Prahl & daughter-in-law Laura “Laurie” Prahl of Lake Havasu, AZ; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren & an extended family of relations all over the country.

As Vera walked through the beautiful field of Gladiolus into the arms of Jesus, she joined her beloved parents, husband, sister Lucille, brother Lloyd & her twin sister Verna.

Services will be held at a later date.
