Orvina Andrews passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born January 1, 1922 on the family farm in Marshfield Wisconsin.

Orvina was one of six children. She met and married Herman Andrews on December 12, 1941. While Herman was serving in the Army in Germany, Orvina gave birth to Herman Jr. August 1, 1943. They were blessed again 16 months

After Herman was discharged from the Army with the Purple Heart, the family moved from Iowa to Vancouver, Washington in 1948, then another move to Millbrae, California in 1956. In 1960 they moved to Lake Tahoe and from there

they settled in the Carson Valley in 1966.

Orvina and Herman started a small farm with chickens, she so much loved, also raising cows, sheep, pigs and birds. Orvina loved canning what they grew in their large gardens, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Along with farm life, Orvina took time with her family which includes 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Andrews Sr and her daughter Mary Ann O’Neal, that passed 2009 to cancer.

She is survived by her son Herman Andrews Jr, her sisters Anna March and Jennie Reich and nieces and nephews who traveled to see her every year.

We have been so blessed with her lessons of love, generosity, hard work and family reliance. She will be dearly missed. We will cherish the memories of her and her cute little smile will always be with us.
