Obituary: “Adele” Edeltraut Ruppel
1925 – 2013
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mottsville Cemetery for Adele Ruppel, 87, who died Aug. 4, 2013, in her sleep while visiting her family home in Gardnerville, where she was a resident for 25 years.
She had recently moved to El Paso, where she lived with her daughter.
She was born Dec. 23, 1925, in Germany, where she met and married Herbert Ruppel, her husband of 65 years. They immigrated to the United States in 1956, and lived in California before moving to Nevada.
Mrs. Ruppel’s life revolved around her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life, always putting her children first. She was the glue that kept our family together.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking and the laughter of others.
She is survived by her children, Harry Ruppel, Ingrid (Louie) DeLaHoya, Gerdy (Mike) Hayes, Addi (Kerry) Wanstrath and Willi (Marianne) Ruppel; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert and daughter-in-law, Zandra (Harry) Ruppel.
