Lawrence Vincent Gallagher Jr., 52 passed away unexpectedly on May 31st in Gardnerville, Nevada. Larry was born in Red Bank, New Jersey, September 8th; 1962.He was the second of six children and grew up in Camarillo, California prior to moving his family to Nevada in 1991. Larry was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Sparks Nevada for the past eighteen years starting as a carrier, working his way up to Station Manager. His work friends were many. Larry’s wife Tammy and he were inseparable and were (happily) never apart for long. Together they enjoyed camping with their children & grandchildren and attending their many sporting activities. He cherished any time he could gather at the table with his family playing the spoons, singing songs, dancing and telling stories. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to “stir the pot” and that ingredient will be missing from the recipe of our lives. Larry is survived by the love of his life Tammy and their four children; Melissa (husband Mike), Justin, Patrick and Parker. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Gallagher, his father-in- law and mother-in- law, Larry and Norvella Hogan, his five siblings (Betty Guerrero, Janice Manzer, Brian Gallagher, Peter Gallagher and Doreen Shumway), his three grandchildren (Mason, Ayden, Colton), numerous nieces and nephews and sweet baby Macy. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Vincent Gallagher Sr., father-in-law Thomas McIntire, sister-in-law Sheila Nelson and nephews Sean Nelson, Daniel Gallagher and Ryan Gallagher. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday June 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, Nevada 89410.
