Kathie Rena Hill Kasper
Kathie Rena Hill Kasper passed on October 29, 2020. She was born January 22, 1944 in Alameda, California to Katherine Long Hill and Ronald Hill.
Kathie shined with a positive and loving demeanor. Kathie had a sense of kindness, fairness and a love for family that was felt by all of them.
She enjoyed a 24-year career in the credit union industry. Proudly serving as President and CEO of UNCLE Credit union for more than 24 years. Her peers, employees, and members attributed her success to her commitment to the credit union movement.
She enjoyed her retirement in Douglas County. She was very involved in the art community. She had a passion for using the medium of oil paint. She was commissioned to paint pet dogs, cats, llamas, donkeys, and other critters with tails and four legs (her business card read “Kasper’s Kritters”.
Kathie was an active member of the International Footprint Association. She loved supporting local law enforcement and first responders. Her beloved husband, Phillip had an amazing career in law enforcement and she was extremely proud of his accomplishments.
She is survived by her husband Phillip Kasper, and brothers John Hill (Jo), Kenneth Hill (Tammy), and sisters Linda Ferris (Steve), and Diane Barker (Mike). Together Phillip and Kathie had six children, thirteen grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. There are several nieces and nephews who she will always be known as “Crazy Aunt Kathie”.
