Helen Marie Wynn
June 19, 1924 – May 23, 2015
Helen Marie Wynn, 88, of Minden, passed away peacefully May 23, 2015 with her family by her side. Helen was born June 19, 1924 to Archie and Lillian Eaton in Montebello, CA. She graduated from Montebello Senior High School and in 1944 married her sixth grade sweetheart, Franklin Larry Wynn. When Larry returned from Coast Guard Service following WWII, they made their home in Montebello where they lived fifty-four years and raised three children. In 1999 Helen and Larry moved to Minden to be close to family. Helen was always ready for adventure and loved traveling the world with Larry as well as flying with him in his Cessna 150 around Mexico, California and as far north as the Arctic Circle. At home, she loved camping with her children and grandchildren, hiking, fishing, and every song Andy Williams ever sang. Remembering her love are her husband of seventy years, Larry Wynn; three children, Linda (John) Benzing, Susan (Peter) Duffy, David (Mary Ellen) Wynn; seven grand children: Joseph (Teresa) Duffy, Julie (David Dzierski) Benzing, Colleen (Mark) Owen, Deborah (Richard) Wasilewski, Robert (Becky) Duffy, Aaron Wynn, William Wynn; seven great-grandchildren: Maverick Duffy, Christopher and Thomas Vargas, Alex and Katarina Wasilewski, Jacob, Cameron, Megan and Madison Duffy. A Celebration of Helen’s Life was held June 11 for immediate family and interment was June 13 at Eastside Memorial Park, Minden.
