Edward E. Peacock
It is with great respect and admiration that we announce the passing of our Father, Edward E. Peacock on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
Mr. Peacock, a long-time resident of Gardnerville, NV was predeceased by his loving wife of 35-years Marvine, his son Edward T. Peacock and his daughter, Gladys Stinson.
Edward was born in Ontario, Canada to his birth Mother, Viola Barbour and was raised from infancy by his loving parents, Ida Lillian (Jackson) and Harry Peacock.
He was very proud of his dual citizenship both in Canada and in the USA. Edward served in the US Navy during World War II. He was stationed in San Diego, San Clemente, and on the island of Ulithi as a boat Coxswain, and he landed Marines during the invasions of both Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war Edward became a Master Machinist, eventually retiring from the Long Beach Naval Shipyard in 1987 before moving to Gardnerville.
Edward was blessed to have the Love of his blended families who remain to mourn his loss, Daughters Sandra, Sherry, Midge and Linda; Sons Danny, Tim, and Patrick along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing for Mr. Peacock will take place on Monday, November 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with graveside service Tuesday, November 10th starting at 11:00 am at the East Side Memorial Park, 1600 Buckeye Rd., Minden, NV.
