David Richard McClure Sr.

Dave passed away peacefully surrounded by his children at age 78.He was born in England and moved to the states at age 16.Dave was a Marine Pathfinder and Master Parachutist with covert drops. He worked in the sheriff depts. in C.A, and also as a private building inspector for Douglas County for many years being a well known business man here.He led a full and amazing life with so many fascinating stories to tell his kids, grandkids and share with lifelong friends Bart and Jim. He loved hunting, shooting, fishing, riding and everything the great outdoors had to offer. He was a true desert/mountain man.Dave is preceded in death by his mother and father Laura and Dwight, his sister Dixie and
grandson Kyle.Dave is survived by his wife Kay Mathews, her daughters Dublin and Darcy, his 4 children Laura, Dave, Lisa and Danny; also by his grandchildren Josh, Toni, Sarah, Ben, Derek, Roark, and Atlas as well as his Great-grandchildren Riley and Jordyn. He is also survived by his brother Bruce and sisters Rita and Diane.His favorite quote… “He either fears his fate too much or his desserts are too small who dares not to put it to the touch to win or lose it all.”Per Dave’s request his final resting place will be Black Rock Desert for a private celebration of life.
