Corky Davis, long time resident of Gardnerville, has begun his final journey. He is traveling to heaven to fulfill his longtime goal of being reunited with his heavenly father whom inspired him to be a better man, who gave him the strength to overcome all the challenges of life, and to show unconditional love to everyone he knew. He was a remarkable man who made friends easily, everyone liked Corky. For this who knew him, his wit, humor, and love made him a
great friend. His parting message to his grandchildren, Brittney, Megan, Jake, Lexie, and Bryce: “The taxi service is officially closed and he no longer can bring lunches, books, or money to school or work! Regrettably, you will have to do your own laundry, too”. He was adored by many but none as much as his wife of 60 plus years, Gwen Davis. He was a good husband who brought much happiness to their marriage. His children, Cathy, Bo, Theresa, and Fern were fortunate enough to have a father who loved them and taught them the valuable life lessons that have guided them through life. We love you dad. His legacy will continue, with Gabriel and Gracie, his great-grandchildren who brought him
undeniable joy. To his son-in-law, Kevin, many nephews, nieces, and extended family, he loved you all. Our hearts are sad and he will be missed terribly, but we rejoice because he is soaring with the angels.
