On March 24th, 1981, a tiny wandering soul was born. Ty James Curry was welcomed by parents Tom and Sandra and sisters Kelly and Brandy.
Ty lived an unconventional life, enjoying the scenery and making friends wherever he went. The Battle Born Spirit of Carson City caught his attention and Nevada became his home. His friends there soon became his second family. All the kids of Carson loved Uncle Ty.
Ty took great pride in his culinary work and helped many young cooks along the way.
He is survived by his daughters; Tyaa and Elle, mom Sandy, brother-in law and sister Jeff and Brandy Cathey, Grandma Lea Rector, nephews Evan, Jay and John; many Curry cousins, aunts, uncles and his Carson City Crew. He was welcomed into heaven by his dad Tom, sister Kelly and grandparents Jim and Barbara Curry. You did good Ty — We love you!
Visitation will be held 4 PM - 7 PM Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave, Visalia CA. Service of Remembrance will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
With so many friends unable to attend the Calif. service, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Westside Pour House, 110 W Telegraph St., Carson City. Please join us on Wednesday, June 11 to swap stories and toast one of the greatest friends ever. No host bar starting at 4:00 PM, bring your memories and come when you can.
