Richard โ€œRicky Dentโ€ Lee Johnson

April 21,2025

It is with a heavy heart that our family is mourning the loss of Richard Lee Johnson (Ricky Dent) who peacefully passed away at home on hospice on 04/21/2025 in the arms of his loving wife of 25 years and surrounded by his family and closest friends. Rick was a life long Fallon resident and was born in his grandfathers home in fallon.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knew he never met a stranger. His loss has definitely caused a huge hole in the hearts of the many people who knew and loved him.
Rick was an avid hunter, and outdoorsman. He absolutely loved the outdoors. He spent most of his time in his shop welding and doing projects for family and friends before he fell Ill. He was definitely a jokester and told the most hilarious and at times inappropriate jokes and was just an all around amazing man. His family was the most important part of his life.

Rick was proceeded in death by his mother Ethel Dent, and his nephew Timothy Dent.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Linda Johnson, his daughters and son, Daisy Johnson, his grandchildren Cameron, Lily, Gaven, Mahlon, Joshua and great granddaughter Aspen. Justin Halverson (Megan) grandchildren, Makayla, Leah, Brody. Sara Tratner, grand children David, BreAnna, Audrina, Kyrstyn, Kaylee, great grandson Xayvion, and a great granddaughter on the way Wrenlee. Sage Tratner, grandchildren Jeslyn, Aspyn, lilliayn. His brothers Mike and CJ Dent, his nephew Richard Bonner, his bestfriend and hunting partner Gilbert Dixon (Maryann) and son in law Lonny Scott who was more like a son to him. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins, there has also been a multitude of local children and people in the community whom he left a positive impact in their lives.

A private celebration of life will be held this summer where his final wishes will be carried out.

We will be releasing the date and time in the near future when those arrangements are made with adequate time for family and friends to make arrangements to be in attendance. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Nevada Fish and Wildlife Youth hunts and fishing.
