Pamela was born in Philadelphia to Enerst Hand and Peggy Lancaster. The family moved frequently because Pamela's father was in the Navy but eventually resided in Huntington Beach CA. where Pamela graduated from Pomona High School.
Pamela also moved frequently but eventually lived in the Truckee area for many years where she raised her two boys Beau and Kelly Barrett. Later in her life Pamela went back to school and received her Esthetician license and worked for several years at Walley's Hot Springs.
Pamela was a dedicated runner and participated in many events in the Truckee area and she also completed the Honolulu marathon. Pamela also enjoyed painting, walking in the Sierra, yoga, the gym, and being a good friend.
Pamela and Clem met at an American Heart Association bachelor auction fundraiser....Clem figuring the odds are good...300 women and only 10 men. Big time lucky that night.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother John.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Clement Jauquet, her brother Darrell Hand (Julie), her sons Beau Barrett and Kelly Barrett, her grandchildren Atom and Forest Barrett, her nephews Trais, Scott and Andy Hand, and her grandniece Emily Mae Hand.
A casual party will be held for Pamela on June 4th, 2025, from noon to 4pm at 799 Foothill Rd 89460. Lunch and drinks. Please Park on Foothill and not at the house. Text Clem at
