Dana Von Stetina

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Von Stetina, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, on December 1, 2024, at the age of 73.

Dana was born in November 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. Her father was a career veteran of the Air Force. She lived in several states during her childhood and was a resident of Nevada for 45 years. She spent her adult life as a pillar of strength, kindness, and grace to all who knew her.

Dana’s warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. She was a loving wife to her devoted husband, Arne Von Stetina, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love for over 54 years. Together, they built a beautiful family and legacy of love. Dana was a proud and dedicated mother to her two daughters, whose lives she shaped with her wisdom and unwavering support. Her heart was further expanded by the arrival of five cherished grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and whom she adored with all her heart.

Dana’s life was marked by a quiet yet powerful presence. She was well known in the real estate and escrow industry, for which she worked for over 40 years. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor endeared her to family, friends, and acquaintances.

Dana enjoyed shopping in the local community. Her closest family will fondly remember her unspoken philosophy. “Why own one when you can buy two?” she was an avid boot shopper and believed the perfect boot could change your life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Dana’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.

Dana is survived by her loving husband, Arne, her two daughters, five grandchildren, and her precious dogs, Prince and Queenie. The family would like to thank all those who have reached out with compassion, prayers, and condolences. A private service will be held in the spring to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a gift of the Western Nevada College Fallon Montanucci Scholarship.https://wnc.edu/foundation/donate
