Mary passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Gatos, CA on January 22, 2025, at 11:05 AM. Mary was born in Oakland, CA in 1946 to Vincent and Runa Coyle. They moved to Santa Rosa, CA where she was raised along with her brothers Vince and William “Billy” Coyle. Mary attended Santa Rosa Catholic School. They then moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1959 where she attended South Lake Tahoe High School.
She started her career at Tahoe Paradise in Meyers, CA. She married Richard Robinson on May 24, 1969, and moved to Gardnerville, NV. She worked at the Gardnerville Drug Store until she obtained her real estate license and worked for Red Barn Realty. She eventually worked for the State of Nevada Insurance Division until her retirement.
In her younger years, she enjoyed camping with friends and following Rich (her husband) throughout his many racing careers including motorcycle racing, flat bottom boat racing, dune buggying around NV, and skiing. She also enjoyed bowling in a Carson City local league, scrapbooking, traveling, her grandchildren and in later years volunteered at the local Senior Center. She was extremely proud of her Icelandic heritage. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Among her survivors, brothers Vince Coyl; William “Billy” Coyle, daughters Carol Hellwinkel and Kathleen Heard. Grandchildren Katie Bonsall, Megan Randall; Ashley Hellwinkel; Christopher Heard; and Kenzie Heard. Great Grandchildren, Jack Bonsall, Nicholas Bonsall, and Kurt= Randall and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
