On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, Wendi Lee Wyatt, mother of four, grandmother of two, passed away at the age of 60 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Hawthorne, California, Wendi eventually relocated to Carson City, Nevada, with her father Patrick Wyatt and her mother Vanessa Fletcher. She began working various part time positions until eventually she found a full time job working for the State of Nevada, where she worked for 26 years.
Wendi was known by all who loved her as caring, compassionate, funny, and loving. She was always eager to meet new people, and, if left unsupervised somewhere new, would somehow always manage to make new friends. Throughout the years, Wendi would often make arts and crafts for children, and she liked to read. Later in life, she found peace volunteering, often helping underserved children or visiting older folks in retirement homes. Perhaps most well remembered about her, however, was her undying love for children. No matter how challenging or taxing, she would always find the time and energy to love and nurture the little ones.
Wendi is survived by her four children, Amber, Ryan, Jared, and Tyler, as well as her two grandchildren, Kelson and Alex, dad Patrick & mother Vanessa, sisters, Dana, Christine and Cora, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24th, at 11a.m. at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, Nevada.
