On February 16, 2023, Paul Dininger passed away at the age of 74 due to complications of Parkinson’s. Paul was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In 1975, Paul relocated with his young family, spouse Doreen, daughter Paula and son David, to Carson City and it became his forever home. Paul worked in the construction industry for more than 50 years. The last 20 years of his employment was spent working for Carson City as a tradesman retiring in 2015.
Paul was a jack of all trades, and he was master of all. If it was broken, he could fix it. He was an experienced welder, plumber, carpenter, and HVAC specialist. He was a hardworking man who never quit until the job was complete. Those who knew Paul, knew that if they needed a helping hand, he could always be counted on. He was a true gentleman with a heart of gold.
In Paul’s spare time, he enjoyed nothing more than being with his buddies and scooting off on his Harley to explore the vast Sierra Nevada Range. As a younger man, he loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his son Dave and his crazy fun-loving friends. Oh, the stories! Paul was passionate about restoring motorcycles and vintage hot rods. He was also a skilled trap shooter.
Paul had unlimited love for his partner, family, and friends. He was a soft spoken, gentle, caring, and loving man. Although some had trouble hearing his whisper-soft voice, his daughter Paula always understood every word. Paul was looking forward to watching his grandson Ryan race his sprint car this year and will surely be with him in spirit, guiding him through every turn.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Herschel (Jack) and Marinette (Nettie) LaBloa Dininger.
Paul is survived by his partner of 31 years, Gayle McCulloch and her daughter Wendi, daughter Paula Lippincott, son David Dininger, brother Dennis Dininger (Sandy); four grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Ryan Lippincott, Alicia Dininger, and Laura Langford-Dininger; four great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kasyn, Kambrea, and Roper; and his steadfast friend, Jim Piper. Last but not least, Paul leaves behind his four-legged companions, Crazy Mo, Sweet Lexi, and his favorite, Curly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A special “thank you” to the caring ICU doctors/nurses at Carson Tahoe Regional Hospital for helping Paul on his last ride, this one into eternity and the arms of Angels.
