Born February 16, 1948 in Las Vegas New Mexico.
Monday, May 16 René passed away while asleep
in his home. He had fought a long battle with many
health complications and is now at peace.
René was a skilled and talented man. He was a
union worker with the Boilermakers Local Lodge
549 out of Pittsburg, California which provided him
the opportunity to work around the world feeding a
passion to travel when he retired.
In retirement René, with his wife Sandy, would take
cruises and would take vacations around the world.
They had been to multiple countries in Europe
including Greece, Italy and Russia. They have also
been to Turkey, the Panama Canal, Mexico and
several countries in both Central and South America.
Often traveling for 3 months at a time.
He loved to play the guitar and sing for his family
and friends. He could build and fix anything and was
always the first to volunteer to help others. He was
accepting of others even if he didn’t share the same
views. For all of his great qualities he would always
be remembered for his incredible generosity.
