Fred E Bock Jr.

August 21, 1940 - March 16, 2022

Fred was a very special man who was kind, generous with his time and skills, helpful, respectful, funny, and enjoyed life. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, golf, and motor homing.

Fred was born in Detroit, MI where he graduated from Lutheran High School West and continued his education at Ferris College. He began his professional career with Whitman & Barnes, Plymouth, MI. He traveled the United States as a “troubleshooter” for several divisions of TRW. He completed his career owning WL Reynolds, Industrial Cutting Tools Co., Baltimore, MD.

Fred’s career allowed he and his wife, Lois, many opportunities to experience life, homes, and friends throughout the country. Twenty-six years were spent in Annapolis, MD, where Fred served in several positions at the Annapolis Yacht Club, culminating as Commodore. Annapolis also provided many boating opportunities to cruise the Chesapeake Bay.

After moving from Annapolis, Fred and Lois began motor homing which allowed travel from east to west, north to south including Canada. After a few years, a motor home pad was purchased in Indio, CA. The Bocks became “snowbirds” for several years.

Fred is survived by his wife of 51 years; brother David (MI); twin children Shari and Fred III (CA); Grandchildren Amanda and Nick (CA); Nieces, Nephews, Cousins (CA, MI, KY).

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Frederick E. Bock, Sr, and brother Robert (MI).

A “Celebration of Life” will be held later in his Minden home.
