Gunny passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Ingrid Benson.
He loved the Marines and said he was always a Marine. During the many years of service, he had many different jobs from running an Archery Shop, working as a Coroner for Carson City and also as a Funeral Director for Walton’s.
He loved to cook and always made too much and hated to see people go hungry.
He was also an avid golfer, hunter and loved to fish.
He had this acronym GIG that he lived by: God, Ingrid, and Golf.
He loved to talk and could go on for hours with his stories He loved to talk to people about God; people would come into the house and his first question would be “Are you a Christian”.
I want to thank Eden Home Health and Eden Hospice for the wonderful care they gave him.
A celebration of Life will be held at LifePoint Church on Stephanie Way at 10am Saturday July 9, 2022.
