Valerie Foster, beloved wife, mother and resident of Carson City passed away on June 27, 2022 at the age of 70.
Valerie is survived by her husband John, son Jared, brother John Platnico, daughter-in-law Hilarie, and grandchildren Mason, Emerson and Elliott.
Valerie was born in Oceanside, California on May 3, 1952 to Ed and Alice Platnico where she
grew up taking in life’s beautiful moments as they came. She moved to Alaska where she met and married her husband John on March 27, 1982, became a respected leader in banking, and took care of her family.
She was a devoted wife and mother to John and Jared. Valerie enjoyed cooking and feeding the ones she loved with special occasion meals as well as everyday meals. When she wasn’t cooking she was enjoying her hobby of learning about antiques and collectibles, always
on the hunt for rare artifacts of recent history.
A private celebration of Valerie’s life will be held at a family reunion in Oregon.
Internment will take place at a future date.
