Paul Douglas Grim was born in Ely, Nevada on New Year’s Eve, 1953.
He was Audrey Grim’s third child. His siblings, Joseph, Dana, Jeanne, and Robert, were raised alongside family playing the piano, singing, and instilling the love of Jesus, music, and nature through many ups and downs of life.
Paul was a veteran of the Navy, serving on nuclear submarines from 1971-1975. He then attended UNR to study Geology. While living in Reno he met & married Heidi. The two of them raised seven children: Rebecca, Rachel, Joseph (husband of Keleigh, father of Eden, Josiah, and Emmalyn), Renah (wife of Ben, mother of Esther, Simeon, Asher, and Nehemiah), Sarah (soon to be wife of Jason, mother of Orion), Hannah (wife of Patrick), and Jonathan.
We will be honoring him with a Veteran’s ceremony at the Fernley Veterans Cemetery, 11:00am Friday, July 29, 2022. The ceremony will be followed immediately by fellowship and a time to tell stories about Paul at the Fernley First Baptist Church.
