Carolyn was born in Spencer, IA on July 4, 1931 and passed on December 28, 2021 in Carson City.
She was a graduate of John Marshall HS in Los Angeles, CA and earned her BA from Cal State LA. She was a classically trained singer and performed professionally for several years in the Los Angeles area. She taught in the Carson City School District for 20 years and adored being a teacher.
After retirement, she traveled the world and visited over 100 countries. Carolyn was a 60+ year member of the Beta Sigma Phi service sorority.
She is survived by her 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
