Gregg Geissler

May 11, 1946 - January 9, 2022

Gregg passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022 in Carson City, NV. Surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Mother’s Day to John Holland “Bud” Geissler and Barbara Jordan Nevin Gray in Riverside California.

Gregg loved the Southern California outdoors, the Beach and Ocean. He did a lot of sunning, surfing and laying around with his late sister, Jan Maxwell and their cousins, Murray, Melly and Duncan MacLeod.

In the early 50’s, Gregg and his father “Bud”, would go diving for abalone, shrimp, fish and lobsters off the California coast.

Gregg attended the Army/Navy Military Academy in Carlsbad Ca., where he excelled in Baseball and Football.

He had moved to Washington to work for Boeing for a brief time before returning to Southern Ca to move into a career of Roofing for Christenson & Letner.

In 1978, Gregg and his family moved to Carson City Nv for a change of a hectic life in Ca to a quiet life here in Carson City. It helped to have his father living here as well.

He went to work for Capital Roofing for several years. Gregg started his own roofing company ‘Mountain Roofing’ before he changed careers to become a cement truck driver.

Gregg had a great love of sports; football, baseball, Nascar , etc. He made an additional family of friends when he found Ed’s Dog House where he spent much of his spare time.

Gregg is survived by his son, Grant Geissler (grandsons; Trenton and Gavyn); daughter, Nicole Heckman (granddaughter; Kylie); son, Jim Williams (Caresse; and grandchildren; Aninka, Rivka, James), Granddaughter Leah Williams (great granddaughter; Anastasia); son, Gary Williams; Nieces; Nancy Maxwell (grandniece, Hillary), Barbara Mitchell (Robert; grandniece, Tabitha); Cousins; Murray, Melinda and Duncan MacLeod and His Best Friend and wife, Lou Anne.

Gregg and Lou Anne met in the late 70’s and married here in Carson City in 1981. They raised their family with love and lots of summer days at close by lakes; (Tahoe, Washoe, Davis Creek, and Topaz). Sports were in the mix as well. They would Kick off the season with Baseball, Basketball, Football and Wrestling. If Gregg was not managing, he was umpiring the games. Wherever he was needed, he would be there to help out.
