Julie Ann Kawchack Kirkland Chitwood passed away on December 17th, 2022. She was born in Craig, CO on November 9, 1956. Preceded in death by her parents Steve and Edith Kawchack, brothers Eddy Steven Kawchack and Bradley Mark Kawchack.
Julie is survived by her children: Jennifer Ann Kirkland, Jessi Marie Chitwood, Steven Scott Chitwood and her granddaughter Ainsley Ann Corley, her brother Tony Kawchack and sister Susan Kuechler and many nieces and nephews.
Julie graduated from Douglas High School in 1976. In 1988 she opened her daycare business - Julie’s Love Bugs - where she shared her love and laughter over the years with many little ones that grew up and then brought her their little ones. Julie loved children and those that
entered her home quickly became ‘her kids’. She filled their days with many hugs and lots and lots of love. When time allowed, she loved to travel with Jennifer, Jessi, Steven and Ainsley to see and experience new places. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, raising chickens and tortoises, playing bunco and she also became a caregiver during her mother’s last years.
Julie was a very special woman filled with much love and she was always ready to share a smile or a good bit of laughter. If you weren’t a friend when you knocked on her door you were one when you left. God truly gained another angel and she will truly be missed.
A celebration of Julie’s life is being planned for a later date. A separate announcement to be
published once arrangements are finalized.
