Marcia Lee (Vivirito) Bowman was born on July 19, 1947 in Burbank, California and left us for heaven on February 26, 2021 in Gardnerville, Nevada.
She is survived by her son, Steve; her grandsons, Jaden and Mason; her sisters, Marianne (Ross), Mickie, Toni (Jerry), and Peggy (Marc); her brothers, Eddy (Margaret) and Paul (Concha); and her many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Marcia was a licensed psychiatric technician with decades of service to patients suffering with mental and emotional illnesses. After she retired, she volunteered as a teacher’s aide for several years and had a special gift for teaching children with learning differences.
Marcia had a smile that could light up any room. She wasn’t just the life of the party, she brought the party to any gathering, and when she left she took the party with her.
We will miss her forever. During the last 2 years, she waged a fierce battle against metastatic breast cancer. She inspired everyone with her courage and optimism.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Alliance (breastcanceralliance.org).
