Sebastian, Darylene Cheryl “Darla” age 76 born in Reno, NV passed away on July 26.
She was surrounded and survived by her daughters Kirsten Farris and Becky Mills, her sister Carol Davidson and Carol’s daughter Jennifer Eaton, her cousin Jeri “Bath” Kittredge and Jeri’s daughter Nicole Madden. Darla adored her four grandsons, Riley and Rusty Mills,
and Evan and Luke Farris.
Darla graduated Carson High School in 1962 and later graduated from Colorado Woman’s College in Denver, Colorado. During her college at CWC she went to Spain to do an internship in 1964. During this time, she met her husband Gene Sebastian and was married for 41 years.
She later went on to further her education to complete her masters. Darla was a business communication teacher and taught almost to the end of her life. Darla’s accomplishments were many. She was an extremely accomplished tennis champion and golfer. She enjoyed
traveling throughout the world, loved animals, loved her family and friends and mostly loved to read.
The family will be gathering at the Living Stone Church in Carson on August 8th. Immediately
following the 10:00 am service we will have a brief prayer and dedication service in her name.
Her memorial will be held at Cave Rock at Lake Tahoe at 2:15. The reception will be held at Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe at 3:00pm. Condolences may be sent to Darla.Sebastian@yahoo.com.
